What girl doesn't love nail art ? I know I've always had fun playing with different colors, designs and glitter , no matter how old I get ! With Easter next weekend and pastels everywhere I couldn't help but get a little festive ! On my mani this week I used Sally Hanson Smooth & Perfect in #6 Air and Essie Luxeffects in Set In Stones ( let me just say OMG this is seriously the most amazing glitter polish out there and worth every penny! It comes on so nice and rich with glitter and drys really fast without getting goopy like some cheapo brands)
To make my mani last the work week and all I put it through without chipping I have 2 secret weapons : "Gelous Advanced Gel Coat " &" "Out The Door Top Coat " (Both products can be bought at any Sally Beauty's ) .
* I applied two coats of the Gelous Advanced Nail Gel Coat to my nails, giving 2 minutes in-between to dry. After the second coat I let it set for 2-3 minutes.
* Then I apply a layer of nail color and let it dry for about 4 minutes.
* Then I put another layer of Gelous Nail Gel on top of my nail color and let it set for about 2 more minutes so that it's fairly dry and not too tacky. Its super important to make sure that the ends of your nails are totally covered in polish and sealed by swiping the brush over the ends. This will guarantee you won't see even a single chip for the entire week of your manicure !
* I apply a second coat of my nail color and finish it off with a nice thick layer of Out The Door Top Coat. I love it for the high shine factor , makes it look so rich and lux !
